Oh Boy!

Oh Boy!

Well, it's official family. We are going toPortugal! We are all very excited. We leave on July 2, and after 1 car ride, 1 night at a family member's house, (still to be determined), 1 more car ride, 4 planes, 1 taxi, 1 night in a hotel in Lisbon, 1 more taxi, 1 more plane ride, and 1 ferry, we will arrive on July 5 on St. George island in the Acores to see Gabe's Dad, Avo. Oh boy.

Avo told us a few months ago when we talked about visiting that he had bought a pig for us. After some reflection, I realized it was a live pig that will be made un-live and prepared for eating at some point while we are there. Oh boy again. Gabe says he wants to vidoe tape it and show it to people. (By people, I mean family. Yes, that's you!!!!) AAAAA!!!

A few days ago, Avo also told us that he had gotten two baby goats for Bela to play with while we are there. I don't think these will be made into eating at any point. I am very excited to see Bela play with baby goats. Gabe and I suspect they were wild baby goats before being aquired as toddler toys. Oh boy again.

On July 21, after another ferry, 4 planes, one half-night in an airport, 1 more plane ride, and 2 more car rides, we will arrive home in Vernal on July 22. Oh boy again.

Thanks to Dad for allowing us to use some of his miles for the planes. We could not have done this without you. Thanks again.

Bela Omelets

Recipe for Bela Omelets!

2 eggs
milk
flour
1 box salt
pepper

In a toy stock pot, crack two eggs. Add milk, (just pour until it overflows your pot), and stir vigorously. Slowly add 1 box of salt, a pinch at a time at first, then just pour directly from the box. Stir in some other stuff, like pepper or flour. Whatever you can get your hands on. Stir vigorously, using at least two different spoons. Have Mom help you pour in to a pan. Keep adding ingredients as they become available. Bell pepper seeds, motzerella cheese, whatever. Hollar to Dad that dinner is almost ready. Keep stirring your Omelet. Keep adding ingredients. When you are bored, your omelet is finished. Do Not Eat. Instead, say "Gross, Eeeeww, I don't want it," repeatedly and run away and watch TV.

Bela's Birthday Party!

Ok everyone, here are pictures of Bela's very fun birthday party. I missed my family very much, but we had some really fun friends for Bela and Mom and Dad come to the party. It was very fun, and we couldn't have asked for more for little Bela.

Bubble Machine! This was a hit for about 5 seconds. But it was really fun while it lasted.

Opening presents. Bela got some pretty fun stuff!

Here is the awesome cake that I made myself. It was a hit. Even the older boy that was there liked it! Now there's validation. For some reason I didn't take a picture of just the cake from the front. I have one on regular film, so I'll post it when we get it developed.

Cute girls eating cake...

In Progress...

Roller Skates. We'll get pictures of her other present too, but this is the one she just had to try out. What a good skater!

These are all pictures that Bela took all by herself. She will get ahold of the camera and take pictures of lots of ransom things. Lately though, she takes pictures of people and actual things! The funniest is that she will follow you around and take picture after picture. It's funny. She also will carry the camera up side down for some reason. What a kid!

Arthur, there were like 10 pictures of this show.

Pics with awesome camera

Here are some more of the pictures we took with Brian's Camera. It is still so fun to use that camera. I don't know why it is so awesome.

The one above is my all time favorite! So far anyway!

Guess whose Potty Training!!? If you guessed Gabe you're wrong. It's Bela! We started on Wednesday. The first day she was doing the thing when she would run to the toilet after she peed, but by Friday, she wasn't wetting her pants at all. She went to the toilet without wetting herself all day Friday and Saturday! She is doing really well. She even surprised me and went poop in there all by herself. I was waiting for that to be the battle. But it wasn't. What a funny kid.
I think the stickers helped though. I borrowed Lindsay's idea and made her a sticker chart. Ok, it's just a piece of paper that says Pee Pee. But I got all kinds of different stickers and after she goes potty, she gets to pick one and put it on her paper. What a kid! She is doing so well. I am very proud of her, and I can just see how proud of herself she is when she gets to show me her ... kids in the pool.

Here's the Panties Girl! With Rainboots!

Pictures

Well guys, here are some pictures I took with Brian's awesome camera that he let me borrow. It was really fun to use that camera. When you have that big bulky thing in your hands, and you are peering through the peep hole, and rotating the light and focus features with your hands, you just pay a lot more attention to what is in the frame. I really like using it. These are from the very first role of pictures I took. I have another roll that has really cute pictures too, but I forgot to get them developed on a CD so I can't post them right now. But I will when I can.

These are pictures I took of our cupcakes. The light is off, but I still kinda liked them. Those cupcakes turned out pretty darn cute if I say so myself.

Gabe. He was really trying not to smile for some reason.

Here's a bunch of Bela. She was a very willing subject. And the only one I had available most of the time.

We haven't gone out to take any outside pictures really, but we went to the park and I will definately take some of the large Happy Birthday Dinosaur in the middle of town. (Yes, a Happy Birthday Dinosaur in the middle of town.)

Princess Bed

Who's that sleeping in the Princess Bed? That's Papa sleeping in the Princess Bed!

Castle Bed

Bela's Castle Bed! We made it. It was really fun to make. Until it came time to clean up. We used one of those tri-fold science project dispaly boards you can buy at Walmart. It was the perfect size. Fun fun fun!
We put "B" on the family crest. Her name doesn't start with B. Her last name doesn't start with B. We'll have to make a new one of those.
